Fun with Vespas

Last Saturday I visited a friend who lives near Oak Park to take a ride on her Vespa. I had never ridden a Vespa before in my life but I've always dreamed about doing it. I remember back to high school when I clandestinely searched ebay for used scooters and wondered what it would be like to fly down the street on the back of one, to the envy of all my friends.

Now I know exactly what it feels like to ride on a Vespa: fun, exhilirating, loud, exciting. I didn't mind one bit when it broke down when we were almost all the way around the block and we had to walk it home. I have owned cars and pets and other things that break or get sick from time to time, I know how it is. I tried to tell my friend how much fun I had had and how happy and thankful I was that I got to fulfill one of my dreams. She couldn't see because I was behind her but my grin was about a mile wide the whole time we were going.



This whole Vespa thing is dangerous though because now, I'm starting a new savings account just for a scooter. I'm going to wait until I find the perfect one for me and until I can truly afford it but when that day comes, watch out world, here comes Nadia! And she's riding a Vespa!
